چکیده

Development of low-cost, high-performance catalysts for the effective degradation organic dyes is both fundamental and technological significance environmental remediation. Herein, FeN4-doped carbon nanotubes exhibit a remarkable catalytic activity towards acid orange 7 (AO7) in presence peroxymonosulfate (PMS). This accounted by abundant well-dispersed FeN4 sites appropriate adsorption energy. Radical quenching experiments electron paramagnetic resonance measurements suggest that singlet oxygen main reactive species. 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy show moieties contain multiple spin states, conjunction with density functional theory calculations, confirm low/medium state serves as key PMS activation hence AO7 degradation. Results from this study highlight critical role states generation pollutants.

Novel Porous Iron Molybdate Catalysts for Synthesis of Dimethoxymethane from Methanol: Metal Organic Frameworks as Precursors

As a novel performance, methanol gas conversion to dimethoxymethane (DMM) in one-step based on Fe-Mo-O (iron molybdate mixed oxides) catalysts with high surface area fabricated by metal organic frameworks (MOFs) precursors was improved. For this approach, at first, Fe(III) precursors (iron (III) 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate (MIL-100 (Fe) and iron terephthalate (MOF-...

Carbon dioxide capture in metal-organic frameworks.

Efforts to utilize metal-organic frameworks, a new class of materials exhibiting high surface areas, tunable pore dimensions, and adjustable surface functionality, for CO2 capture will be presented. Open metal coordination sites on the framework surface can deliver a high CO2 loading capacity at low pressures. However, additional criteria such as water stability and the selective binding of CO2...

Reversible functionalization of multi-walled carbon nanotubes with organic dyes

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes are dispersed in water via the formation of adducts with dyes, where the process may be monitored by the visual observation of colour variations of dye solutions. Atomic force microscopy images corroborate evidence for attachment of dyes on nanotubes. Laser Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies suggest intimate electronic interactions between nanotube...
